Whitening advice                                  

 Enlighten is an advanced cosmetic teeth whitening system . The system works by making dental trays in the surgery and then applying the Enlighten dental bleaching gel to the inside.  

 1. The first appointment needed is for impressions and consent forms to be signed. You will be given sensitive toothpaste for use before bleaching begins.

 2. Two weeks later your trays will be returned to the practice and home bleaching can begin. This stage requires a 20 min appintment for desensitising solution to be applied.

 3.In the First week of home bleaching you will need to use the 10% syringe.

The second week you need to use the 16% syringe.

 4. On the 15th day you will need a 40 min appointment with your dentist to apply the in surgery bleach.

 5. Following an initial course of treatment you can top up your smile by purchasing syringes from the practice, at £40.00 for two syringes.

 6.Store your syringes in the fridge and keep your trays safe as they are expensive to have remade.

 7. The results of the bleaching will last longer for those who refrain from smoking and consuming foods that contain tannis eg tea, coffee, chocolate and red wine.
