You and Your New Dentures
  1. Your dentures are precision made to fit your mouth.

 

  1. It is common to have some difficulty getting used to a new denture, particularly if you have got used to your previous dentures over a long period of time or if you have never worn a denture before.

 

  1. If your denture rubs, make an appointment to have it adjusted.

 

  1. As time goes by your denture will become more comfortable.

 

  1. Clean your dentures after each meal and use a cleaning agent once a day e.g., steradent for 2 hours. A brush may also be used.

  1. Remove dentures at night to avoid developing infections.
